Selling Agents/Buying Editors
Thought I'd share some information on who's selling and who's buying this week in Women's Literature/Romance.
But...in an effort to offer unique information I'm going one step further and checking track records...

Additional info: Holy cow -- now that's a fresh idea! The Knight Agency is accepting queries. I recently had a request from a different agent at their house. I'm not sure how you query a specific agent or if you even can. Maybe they rotate query day like Realtors rotate floor days. :-)

Good information, Joan. Hartline handles a lot of inspirationals, which I don't write, so I've never sent to them.
Good to know about Hartline -- might put them on one of my lower tiers considering I don't write inspirational either. I didn't notice that on their website -- must have been too overwhelmed by their marketing plan requirements. :-)
Joan, With The Knight Agency, Elaine Spencer and Deidre Knight read all the submissions and assign the ones they feel have promise to each agent. So you can't really specifically query a single agent-- although I imagine you can address it to one in the query.
Or at least that's the way they used to do it.

Just like to adjust the comment regarding my agency, International Scripts. Over the past 3 years my agent, Bob Tanner, has placed 7 of my books, with Simon & Schuster as well publisher Severn House. Not 2. And I'm only one his clients.
