Fun Interview Qs with Elisabeth Naughton + Giveaway

>> Friday, September 09, 2011

We're celebrating Elisabeth's release of TEMPTED this week and today is another day of fun interview questions. Since I'm feeling a tad under the weather (a.k.a. I can't think of any quippy substitutions for her answers in this state) this is going to be a single Elisabeth Q & A today. She's hilarious enough on her own anyway. :) Don't forget to comment for a chance at today's prizes!

Interview, Day 3
Ever Come Close To Death?
Yes. Freaked Joan out so much she almost got on a plane to make sure I was okay.

Are You The Same Person You Were As A Child, Or Much Different?
Unfortunately, I’m a lot older.

Do You Believe In Destiny?
I believe in free will. If you shape your destiny my way I’ll steer you in a different direction.

Ever Broken Any Bones?
Not that I’m aware of. But there’s still time.

Have You Ever Felt Like You Hit Rock Bottom?
No, but again, I’m sure there’s still time.

Do You Dream Often?
All the time. I’m a writer, aren’t I? (See my recurring dream below)

Do You Have A Recurring Dream? What Happens In It?
Paul Walker kidnaps me.
*snort*

Stretch your left arm out as far as you can, What can you touch?
A pool table.

Do You Eat Meat?
Yes. I’m a carnivore.

Do You Have Any Pet Names? If Yes, Then How Did You Get Them?
Eli – Generally a guy nickname but my dad has called me that since I was little. I also went by Lissie until I was in high school. (Don’t call me that if you see me – I won’t answer to it.)

Have You Thrown Up In A Car?
And in a boat and on a train… Actually, bushes are my receptacles of choice. Usually after a wedding where champagne has been served.

Can You Tell If Someone Is Lying To You?
Only if they have shifty eyes, like my son.

Do You Have Any Phobias Or Fears?
You’ve already covered them: heights, airplanes and hospitals.

Ever Been To A Strip Club?
Which time?

What's under your bed?
I’m afraid to look. (Add it to my phobias.)

I have vivid dreams most nights. In last night's dream, I was walking my two pet mountain lions when a Lion came out and started chasing us. I released my mountain lion and ended up climbing a high fence. I think everyone involved ended up okay. :)

I always dream but they are weird...like I'm walking down a street on a ball and I turn a corner and I'm on Mars....never make sense! I inherit that as my grandma does the same thing and my daughter has started to also...LOL!

I protest the *snort* after my answer under recurring dream. I would never snort after that answer.

I'm a vegan. No meat or any animal products at all. Fortunately, there's lots of good vegan junk food.

Great Q&A - I love how it is random and not just about the books. Lets us get to know the author a bit better.

Something in common. I have a nickname that is generally male as well. Ken for Kendra. :)

Thanks for the giveaway! I can't wait to start the series! Good luck to all!

Yes, I have thrown up in a car. I get random bouts of car sickness and I just lost it one day.

I also have recurring dreams and I have never broken any bones.

Don't tell my husband but there a two boxes filled with books ;). I can't give up books from authors I love so I have to hide them.

I'm a carnivore, too and I admit that I have been to a strip club, but I didn't sample the buffet.

I can honestly state that... No I have never been to a strip club.. Adult sex shop - yes, strip club no. I went to the SS with a co-worker, we were looking for a present for a fellow co-worker we joke with. One year she even got me two gifts for my birthday there and gave it to me at work. She's lucky the boss loved her.

Phobias - Heights too, spiders too.

Threw up in the car once.. but that was only because I was pregnant. Morning sickness. Ha! I had all day sickness. My first month of pregnancy I lived off of yogurt.

Pet Names - Rao, Rachie, in high school Blonde Bimbo (LOL)

Carnivore too. Wouldn't survive as a vegetarian.

A strip club with male dancers or female ones? I have been to Chippendales many years ago. Does that count?

What's under your bed?

Books and shoes, and plenty of both.

I can't pick just one question...so here's me not following directions:

Sadly, I was born with a brain condition that used to put me right up there on death's table a lot (because I used to do things like snowboard and surf, not knowing I wasn't supposed to back then). I was able to outrun that guy with the scythe a few times...I think his cape slows him down, fashionable as it may be. Got easier every time... (=

Mmmm, meat (I'm the cookie monster's red cousin). When my friend and I go to get steaks, she says, "Well done, I want mine dead," and I say, "Seared, I want mine mooing."

In Mexico: "This is a strip club?" *color me confused* I couldn't read what the words next to the naked lady sign said!

I love to play your fun blog games and learn all about Elisabeth Naughton's secrets. That's prize enough so I was tempted not to follow directions again but you wrote them in RED, bold, with asterisks...so here's my email too: dr.ninanaks@gmail.com

So much fun! Can't wait till it's your turn in a few months...
